Every draw is independent and random, and past results never change your chances. This is not a tool for predicting winners. It is for seeing the odds for yourself, and how the losses grow the more you buy.

Using the estimated prizes, the average return is about 44.8% (about ¥134 for 1 ticket). Prizes are the theoretical values (estimates) from the official lottery guide. In Loto 7, every prize from 1st to 6th varies with each draw's sales and number of winners. Carry-overs are not included.

Everything runs on this device. Draw results and your history are saved only in this browser.

How to use

  1. 1. Choose your numbers

In the panel below, choose “Pick my own” under “How to pick” and tap 7 numbers from 1 to 37. “Quick pick” chooses 7 for you and “Copy” copies them. To try different numbers every time, leave it on “Always quick pick”.

  2. 2. Choose how many, then draw

Choose how many tickets (1 to 1 million) under “Tickets to buy”, then scroll back up and tap “Buy and draw”. Your tickets appear, the glass draw machine drops the balls one by one, and when it stops your tickets are checked against that draw. Winning tickets get a stamp and the net shows below.

  3. 3. Keep going, or draw until the 1st prize

Choose “Keep going” under “Repeat” to keep drawing with the same number of tickets until you tap “Stop”. “Until 1st prize” fast-forwards, stops at the draw that wins the 1st prize, and shows how many draws it took and how much you spent.

  4. 4. See the results so far and the chart

Scroll down to “Results so far” to compare the money spent, money won, net and return rate, the chart of the net over time, and the official and actual odds for each prize. Change “Tickets per week” to see how many years that equals.

Good to know before you start

  • It doesn't predict winning numbers or suggest “lucky” numbers. Every number has the same chance.
  • You can't buy real tickets here, and there are no links to ticket sellers.
  • Prizes are estimates based on official theoretical values, without carry-overs. Actual amounts change with each draw.

Loto 7 odds and how this simulator works

Loto 7 is a lottery where you choose 7 numbers from 1 to 37, giving 10,295,472 possible combinations. 1st prize needs all 7 to match, so the odds for one ticket are about 1 in 10.3 million. Even buying 1 ticket for every weekly Friday draw, that works out to once every 200,000 years or so on average. Overall, less than half of sales comes back as prize money, and the expected value of a ¥300 ticket is about ¥134.

For every draw, this simulator first decides the winning numbers with your device's cryptographic random numbers (crypto.getRandomValues), then checks all the tickets you bought for that draw. Even with 1 million tickets there is only one draw, just like the real lottery. The 3D draw machine only replays numbers that were already decided. Checking runs separately from the screen (in a Web Worker), so the page doesn't freeze even with 1 million tickets. Your numbers and results stay on this device and are never sent anywhere.

FAQ

Common questions about the Loto 7 simulator.

Are my numbers or results sent anywhere?

No. All drawing and counting happens in the browser on this device, and your numbers and totals stay only on this device. You can erase them with “Clear results”.

Can it predict which numbers are more likely to win?

No. Each Loto 7 draw is separate and completely random. Numbers that came up (or didn't) in past draws, or patterns in the numbers you pick, don't change your chances. This simulator is for fun and for understanding the odds, not for predictions.

How are the random numbers generated?

It uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) to pick 9 different numbers from 1 to 37 without bias (7 main numbers and 2 bonus numbers). The 3D draw machine only shows the balls coming out in the order already decided — it never changes the result.

What prize amounts are used?

In Loto 7, every prize from 1st to 6th changes with each draw's sales and number of winners, so the theoretical values from the official lottery guide are used as estimates (1st ¥700 million, 2nd about ¥6.1 million, 3rd ¥500,000, 4th ¥6,500, 5th ¥1,400, 6th ¥1,000 — the values revised from the draw of February 14, 2025). Carry-overs are not included.

What are the expected value and payout rate?

Using the estimated prizes, the expected value of a ¥300 ticket is about ¥134, a payout rate of about 45%. The more you buy, the closer your winnings get to about 45% of what you spent — the rest is a loss.

How long does “Until 1st prize” take?

The odds of 1st prize are about 1 in 10.3 million, so on average it takes about 10.3 million tickets (about ¥3.1 billion). With luck it can hit within a few hundred thousand, or it can take more than 30 million. To quit partway, press “Stop” and the results so far are added.

How do the bonus numbers count for 2nd and 6th prize?

Loto 7 draws 2 bonus numbers. 2nd prize is when 6 of the main numbers match plus either one of the 2 bonus numbers. 6th prize is when 3 of the main numbers match plus at least 1 bonus number. This simulator checks your tickets by the same rules.

Won't buying 1,000,000 tickets freeze the page?

No. Checking the tickets runs separately from the screen (in a Web Worker) and finishes while the draw machine spins. “Until 1st prize” fast-forwards, and you can stop at any time with “Stop”.

The draw machine isn't showing in 3D.

The 3D draw machine uses WebGL. On devices or browsers without WebGL, a flat version shows the balls coming out one at a time instead. Results are decided the same way. If “Reduce motion” is turned on in your device settings, the animation is skipped and the result is shown right away.

How are the “years” calculated?

The number of tickets bought is divided by “Tickets per week” × 52 weeks. Loto 7 is drawn once a week, on Fridays, so if you buy 1 ticket for every draw, choose “1 ticket”.
