How to use
1. Choose an image
Tap “Choose files” and pick the photo you want to use on social media. A full-screen editor opens.
Drag and drop the photo or image you want to use on social media anywhere on the page, or use “Choose files”.
2. Choose a social media size
In the band below the picture, tap a service like “X” or “Instagram”, then tap where it goes below it, like “Header” or “Profile picture”. The frame becomes as large as it can be in that size’s ratio.
In the panel on the right, pick a service like “X”, “Instagram” or “YouTube”, then pick where it goes below it, like “Header” or “Profile picture”. The frame becomes as large as it can be in that size’s ratio.
3. Set the frame
Drag inside the frame with your finger to move it over the part you want to keep. Dragging a corner resizes it and keeps the ratio. For profile pictures, a dotted line shows the area that appears in the round icon.

Good to know before you start
- How social media shows images can change with app updates. Keeping important text near the center is the safe choice.
- This tool only crops. To add text, use it together with an image editing app.
- To choose any shape or ratio you like, try “Crop images”.
About social media image sizes
Social media shows headers, profile pictures and post images in fixed ratios. If you upload an image with a different ratio, the app crops the top and bottom or the sides on its own, or adds blank space. Cropping to the right size first lets you choose what stays in view.
Most social media shows profile pictures as circles, so this tool shows a round guide line. YouTube banners show a different area on TVs, computers and phones, so a colored dotted line marks the center area that appears on every device.
FAQ
Answers to common questions before you start.
Are my images sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside the browser on your device, and your images are never uploaded to a server. You upload the saved image to social media yourself.
Does the profile picture cover part of the X header?
Yes. Your profile picture overlaps the bottom left of the header, and on phones the top and bottom may be cut off a little. Placing important text and logos in the center or slightly to the right is the safe choice.
Is the profile picture cropped into a circle?
The saved image is square. Social media shows it as a circle, so just upload it as is. The dotted circle on screen shows roughly what appears in the circle.
What size is best for Instagram posts?
4:5 portrait (1080 × 1350) shows the largest in the feed. Since 2025, the profile grid uses 3:4 portrait, so choose 3:4 (1080 × 1440) if you don’t want it cut off in the grid.
What is the colored dotted line on the YouTube banner?
It’s the area (1546 × 423 px) that’s never cut off, whether viewed on a phone, computer or TV. Put your channel name and logo inside it. The area outside only shows on large screens like TVs.
What if I need a size that isn’t listed?
Every service has “Custom size” at the end, where you can enter the width and height in px.
What if my photo is small?
If the cropped area is smaller than the size you chose, it’s stretched when saved, and a note appears in the save panel. It may look a little blurry, so use as large a photo as you can.
Should I save as JPG or PNG?
JPG is best for photos. The file is smaller and more likely to stay under social media file size limits. PNG is better for illustrations or images with lots of text, since it keeps them sharp.
Are the sizes up to date?
They’re based on each service’s help pages and guidelines as of October 2026. If a service changes its specs, use “Custom size” to enter the new size.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and no ads.
